Shots:

Your puppy has had it's 1st shot at the age of 7 weeks.
The next booster shot should be given at 12 weeks of age and then at 16 weeks your puppy will receive the Rabies vaccination.
Then once a year your dog is to receive their vaccination shots.

Heartworm:

All dogs should be on heartworm medication during the mosquito season. Your pup can go on heartworm medication at the age of 12 weeks.  We use a medication called Sentinel. It also controls roundworm, whipworm, hookworm and flees. The extra cost is really worth it.

Roundworm:

Your Puppy has been wormed at 6 weeks and 7 weeks. It is a good idea to bring a stool sample into your veterinarian around 11 weeks of age just to see if any additional medication is required at your 12 week appointment.

Ears:

Your dogs ears should be cleaned at least every 3 weeks. This is a simple process for both you and your dog as long as you start at an early age.

Nails:

Your dog should also have its nails trimmed every 3 weeks. This again is a simple process as long as you start at a early age.

Haircuts:

We recommend the Springer be clipped every spring. This cleans up the old winter fur and makes it cooler for your animal in the summer, not to mention a lot less hair around the house.
